We delivered a complete end-to-end service for this project, from conceptual artwork through to project managing all signage requirements, finishing with a distinctive suite of signage installed across the property.
Resido is located adjacent to Sylvia Park in the heart of Mount Wellington. Featuring 295 sustainably built residential apartments in three separate buildings, with basement car parks. The client’s brief was to balance brand visibility with keeping resident’s living areas feeling more like homes than commercial spaces.
Design and Industrial Design
We designed signage suite for Resido, working closely with the Kiwi Property project team to develop a package that combined bold brand signage in public areas, and subtle navigation solutions in resident spaces. Being a residential environment, we were mindful of keeping the signage from becoming too loud in the living areas. However, there was scope for bold yellow details at key locations. We used these pockets of bold colour to draw people through the shared spaces, ensuring that the next waypoint was always visible during a visitor journey.
Project Management
We were involved from an early stage of the build process, meaning we could work in with the construction team to ensure that locations were signage ready. We spent time on site with the customer and brought scale models of signs, making it efficient to work through revisions and understand how the signs would interact with the broader space.
Fabrication
Our in house design and fabrication team worked through the concept artwork and industrial design, testing and building of the signs ensuring we had maximum control over the production process, crafting a product that was tailored to the site and is built to last.
Installation
Our installation team were on site regularly over a period of a couple of months, as the different buildings were completed and ready for signage. This meant maintaining a professional and safety conscious approach at all times, navigating between spaces that were open to residents and spaces that were still active construction sites. Our Project Managers and Installers adapted quickly to any unexpected developments on site keeping the project on track.
