This project hit the brief to deliver signage that beautifully reflects the luxurious cinema experience while leading customers to their movie destinations. We bought our industrial design and engineering skills to create individual solutions for signage challenges, and with our specialised in-house design team were able to deliver brand consistency across the four sites.
The client brief was to create beautiful signage that reflected a luxury cinema experience and welcomed all movie goers to enjoy a setting that provides gourmet menus and elegant finishes, while effortlessly leading visitors to their great movie experience.
Site survey
We undertook a site survey to experience the various spaces, understand the client’s needs, take measurements and advise on optimum sign locations. Signage was needed for the exterior, reception and through to the various screens.
Design
Our designers worked with the branding concepts provided by the client to produce designs which reflected the high-quality aesthetics for the first site. Site plans were used to create artwork and plans to scale, and following completion of the first site the same designs were used for other sites.
Our in-house industrial designers created bespoke solutions for sites where needed. In one site the Silky Otter illuminated letters were made to fit a concave wall. In another site, engineers devised a mesh solution to install a sign which required minimal fixings through cladding, while maintaining strength and structural integrity.
Fabrication and Production
External signs consisting of halo illuminated letters with a blue glow were constructed for all sites. Internal treatments included directional and toilet signs and halo illuminated screen numbers. Our in-house design and fabrication services ensured branding consistency and product delivery across multiple sites, while offering customised solutions where required. We were able to adapt to the individual challenges of each site.
Installation
Our due-diligence and previous site surveys ensured our installers placed all signs perfectly according to the plans. We completed an effortless installation while leaving the sites clean, tidy and ready for business.
Project Management
Our Project Managers looked after the process from initial client briefings to installation. This involved co-ordinating design concepts, amendments and approval, and the manufacturing and installation process including traffic management and final quality check of installed signs. The client was involved and updated on progress throughout the project.
