Neon Signs & Faux Neon

Nothing attracts attention quite like a neon sign. Hand-made by our in-house crafters our neon signs provide bold, vivid and colourful sign solutions. We create a range of colours by combining glass tubing with different gas compositions.

Neon Sign and LED Neon Lights Specialists

When an electric current is passed through the gas inside the tubes, it produces a glow that can range in colour from red to blue to green, depending on the specific type of gas used. Neon signs are often used in advertising, such as to advertise a business or product, but they can also be used for decorative purposes, such as in home decor or as art installations.

Although neon signs are the most well-known type of gas-discharge lighting, other gases can be used in the tubes to produce different colours. For example, helium can be used to produce a bright yellow-orange colour, while argon can produce a blue-green colour.

Neon Light Signs Benefits

Wise Sudios can advise you when it is best to use a traditional customized neon sign and when an LED neon sign might make a good alternative. There are pros and cons to both custom sign systems and we consult with you to understand the usage, environment, budget and scale.

  1. Eye-catching: Neon signs are highly visible and can be seen from a distance, making them an effective way to attract customers and promote your business or product.
  2. Customisable: Neon signs can be customised to suit your needs, whether you want a specific colour, font, or design. They can be made in any size and shape, so you can create a unique display that reflects your brand or personality.
  3. Long-lasting: Neon signs are durable and can last for many years, making them a cost-effective investment. They require little maintenance and can withstand harsh weather conditions, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
  4. Energy-efficient: While neon signs do use electricity, they are highly energy-efficient and consume very little power compared to other types of lighting, such as incandescent bulbs.
  5. Environmentally-friendly: Neon signs are also considered more eco friendly than other types of lighting. The gas inside the tubes is non-toxic and does not produce harmful chemicals or pollutants, and the tubes themselves can be recycled.

A time and place for LED neon lights

Overall, neon signs offer a unique and eye-catching way to promote your business or add a touch of personality to your home decor, while also being durable, energy-efficient, and environmentally-friendly. Wise Studios understands when LEDs are best used over traditional neons and consults with you every step of the way so you get the right signage system for the right application at the right budget.

Faux-neon signs, also known as LED neon signs or LED neon lights, are a modern alternative to traditional neon signs. They use LED (light-emitting diode) technology to create a similar effect to neon lighting, but with a few key differences.

Instead of glass tubes filled with neon gas, LED neon signs use flexible tubes made of silicone or PVC that contain a strip of LED lights. The LED lights are designed to mimic the appearance of neon by emitting a bright, colourful glow.

Faux-neon signs offer several benefits over traditional neon signs. They are more energy-efficient and consume less power, making them cheaper to run and better for the environment. They are also more durable, as the flexible tubes are less likely to break than glass tubes, and they can be shaped and moulded into any design, making them highly customizable.

Faux-neon signs are often used in commercial settings, such as in retail stores or restaurants, as well as in homes and offices for decorative purposes. They can be used to spell out words or create artistic designs, and they are available in a wide range of colours and styles to suit any taste or decor.
